I’m excited to announce the date of our 2nd Annual Kettlebell Sport 10min One Arm Long Cycle Challenge (clean & jerk) taking place on Friday 14 June, 6:30pm. Kettlebell sport and the one arm long cycle (also known as the clean & jerk) is a great exercise for both power & endurance and can therefore fit well into a training program for a variety of goals including strength, fitness, body composition and sports performance.

If you’re looking for something new to train for, in need of a new challenge, want to mix up your workouts or even beat a previous kettlebell long cycle personal best this could be a great event for you.

Come and put your power, endurance & technique to the test in a Drive Fitness first with a 10min one arm long cycle set! All levels of kettlebell lifting experience invited to be involved and if it’s new to you we can help you develop your technique in your training sessions. Let me or your trainer know so we can help you prepare. Find out more here…

WHERE IS IT?

Drive Fitness Tarragindi @ 5/19 Kuring Gai Ave, Tarragindi.

WHEN IS IT?

Friday 14 June 6:30pm-8pm.

WHAT IS IT?

  • 10min time limit to complete as many kettlebell one arm long cycles (kettlebell clean and jerks) as possible.

  • You can choose any kettlebell weight between 8-24kg.

  • Only one arm switch is allowed within the 10min. Once you switch arms you can’t change back.

  • If the kettlebell is put down or comes to a dead hang the set is finished.

  • You can compete with yourself by going for your personal best number of reps on a certain weight and/or with others by going for the best score. Final scores will be calculated taking into consideration, body weight, kettlebell weight and number of reps completed.

  • Trainers will also compete with each other at the event in the trainers flight at the end for those interested in watching.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Only Drive Fitness clients can participate in the Drive Fitness Kettlebell Sport One Arm Long Cycle Challenge - this is a Drive Fitness community event suitable for all levels of fitness and experience, not an elite kettlebell sport competition. It's fun, social & a little bit competitive. It is important that safe & correct technique can be demonstrated to your trainer in advance of the challenge. If you’re interested in being involved and you’re new to the one arm long cycle we will work with you to develop correct & safe technique so you can participate in the challenge.
