I hope you're as excited as I am to see the Bulgarian Bag arrive at Drive Fitness! The Bulgarian Bag design was inspired by the body shape of sheep and the traditions of shepherds performing strength acts with sheep & goats. I'm not much of a history guy but apparently shepherds were often required to carry weak sheep over their shoulders when they wandered with their herds and were renown for their great strength as a result of doing so. Accessing this traditional type of strength training meant either getting sheep or Bulgarian Bags and Bulgarian Bags seemed like the easier option on this occasion.

The Bulgarian Bag can be used to perform all sand bag movements and most kettlebell exercises while adding a huge variety of other exercise options to our personal training & boot camp sessions. We will be experimenting & learning how to safely learn & instruct Bulgarian Bag training at our Jindalee & Tarragindi personal training studios over the next 1-2 months before we roll them out to all Drive Fitness studios.
