I dropped 11.6kg over a 10 week period. I felt my results levelled off at about the 7-8 week mark but I went hard for the final few days and dropped another kilogram.
I'm feeling great about my results! I'm going to try and lose another 5kg over the next couple months and I've already signed up to compete in the Brisbane to Bridge 5km run in August. I may try and start playing soccer competitively again if I have the time. I definitely feel better looking into a mirror with my shirt off. I wish I had done this years ago.
My personal trainer pushed me more than I would have pushed myself. Carsten seems to know just the right amount of exercise I can handle and then pushes me 10% more which is beyond where I would give up on myself.
When I started out I had a hard time being able to plank for 30 seconds. By the halfway point I could hold three 60-second planks.
Doing this with my partner Sue was a huge help. We prepared meals for each other and spotted each other during workouts. I couldn't have achieved such a positive result without her.
The best part has been the education on what we've previously been putting into our bodies. Some of the food I previously considered healthy is terrible. I learned that most "protein balls" have mostly fat and carbs and about a third of the protein as a 90g can of tuna. There are some foods I will never eat again.
