It’s great to have our first team running event of 2023 upcoming on the Drive Fitness calendar. We’re entering a team in the Brisbane Running Festival on Sunday 4 June and we’d love you to join us! All fitness levels and running experiences welcome. You can join our team and enter any race distance including 10km, half marathon and marathon. Find out more and join our team here…

Event Details

All events take place on Sunday 4 June and start at Alice St Brisbane & finish at the City Botanic Gardens. Full event details including course maps can be found here: https://www.brisbanemarathon.com.au.

Race Start Times

You should aim to arrive at the start line at least 30min before the scheduled start to get to your correct zone and allow time to warm up.

Race times are as follows:

  • 10km - 6:45am

  • Half Marathon - 6am start

  • Marathon - 6am start

Run Club

Join us on Saturday mornings 6am @ Drive Fitness Tarragindi for self paced group runs. If you'd like more info about run club or about a training program leading up to the event please feel welcome to give me (Dave) a call on 0402 358 127 or email dave@drivefitness.com.au.

TEAM RACE SINGLETS

We will be doing a pre-order of Drive Fitness race singlets arriving in team for the event. If you’d like to order your size please give me (Dave) a call on 0402 358 127 or email dave@drivefitness.com.au.

How to Register

  1. Goto: https://www.brisbanemarathon.com.au.

  2. Click ENTER in the top navigation menu

  3. Choose your event distance & click continue

  4. Follow the registration process & select to join a team (there is a 10% discount for joining the team)

  5. Search for the Drive Fitness team & select

  6. Complete registration & payment process

  7. Start training!

TRANSPORT & MEETING POINTS

  • We will be meeting 30min before the 10km event at 6:15am near the start zone @ Alice Street. Keep a look out to the sides of the start line towards the back of the starting zones for other Drive Fitness runners. I’ll be there with my phone on me so please feel welcome to call if you can’t find the group. It’s the first time the event has used this start zone location so we’ll do our best to find a good place to warm up.

  • Driving in and parking and public transport options are available. I recommend pre-booking a car park online and driving but please allow time for traffic. Find out all details provided by the event here: https://www.brisbanemarathon.com.au/race-information/getting-to-the-race.

TRAINING PROGRAMS

  • We have a 6 week lead in program available through our app for anyone looking to get started with running for the first time or returning to running after a long break.
