in July 2016, during the 2nd Annual 4 Week Workout Series we introduced a one-off format change that remains a one-and-only in Drive Fitness history, an unexpected 5th workout final. Only the top 10 men and top 10 women from the first 4 workouts were invited to compete in this head-to-head event to determine the overall winner of the series. It hadn’t been done before and hasn’t been done since.
The workout included 10 stations, completed for 1 minute each for 3 rounds. The final score was the combined total of reps, distance, and calories achieved. Stations included sled push, push-ups, skipping, rowing, airdyne bike, kettlebell high pull, medball over-shoulder toss, dumbbell push press, burpees, and back-step overhead lunges. Each station had a trainer assigned to judge technique and record scores.
It was an incredible event, a true one-of-a-kind in the Drive Fitness archive - and one that will never be forgotten.
